NEET UG 2023 Aspirants Demand Postponement of Exam Due to Covid Cases

As the Covid-19 cases surge across the country, several National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduate (NEET-UG) 2023 aspirants are urging for the postponement of the entrance exam. The exam, scheduled to be held on May 7 this year, has seen a wave of requests on social media platforms for a one-month delay, with students using hashtags like #NEETUG2023POSTPONE, #postponeNEETUG2023, #postponeneetug2023onlytilljune, and #NamoJiHelpNeetUG2023 to voice their concerns.

With a total of 20.87 lakh registered candidates, including 11.8 lakh female candidates and 9.02 lakh males, NEET UG is one of the most significant entrance exams in the field of medicine. The National Testing Agency (NTA), which conducts the exam, is expected to release the NEET UG 2023 city intimation slip on its official website - neet.nta.nic.in, after which the admit cards will be allotted.

Many students have taken to Twitter to express their worries about the exam being conducted amid the rising Covid-19 cases. One NEET aspirant tagged the Prime Minister in a tweet, saying, "Sir, Covid cases are rising day by day... Today also more than 12k cases were reported. NEET will create overcrowding very badly. Please think about our health once."

As the situation evolves, aspirants are urging the Prime Minister and Education Minister to consider postponing the NEET UG exam to ensure the safety and well-being of the students. However, the final decision rests with the NTA and the concerned authorities.

In the meantime, students are advised to stay updated with the official announcements and guidelines from the NTA regarding the NEET UG 2023 exam. They should also continue their exam preparation diligently, keeping in mind the syllabus, weightage, and previous year question papers.

Aspiring medical students should also prioritize their health and safety during these challenging times. They should follow all the Covid-19 protocols, including wearing masks, practicing social distancing, and maintaining good hygiene habits. Taking care of physical and mental health is crucial for performing well in exams and achieving success in the long run.

In conclusion, the demand for the postponement of the NEET UG 2023 exam due to the Covid-19 situation is a valid concern raised by aspirants. It's important for the authorities to consider the safety and well-being of the students while making decisions about conducting exams. Aspiring students should stay updated with official announcements, continue their exam preparation, and prioritize their health during these challenging times.
