NEET Counselling Dates

The NEET Counselling dates are usually announced after the results are declared. The counselling process is conducted in several rounds, depending on the number of available seats and candidates. The tentative NEET counselling dates for 2023 are:

  • NEET Exam Date: 13th August 2023
  • NEET Result Declaration: Last week of August 2023
  • NEET Counselling Registration: 2nd week of September 2023
  • NEET Counselling Round 1: Last week of September 2023
  • NEET Counselling Round 2: 2nd week of October 2023
  • NEET Counselling Mop-up Round: Last week of October 2023

NEET Counselling Procedure

The NEET Counselling procedure consists of several steps:

  1. Registration: Candidates need to register themselves for the counselling process by visiting the official website.
  2. Choice Filling: After registration, candidates need to fill in their choices of colleges and courses in the order of preference.
  3. Seat Allotment: Based on the choices filled by the candidates and their NEET rank, the seats are allotted to them in the colleges.
  4. Document Verification: Once the seat is allotted, candidates need to report to the allotted college with all the required documents for verification.
  5. Fee Payment: Candidates need to pay the admission fee to confirm their seat.
  6. Reporting to College: Finally, candidates need to report to the allotted college within the stipulated time period to complete the admission process.

NEET Counselling Eligibility

Before applying for the NEET Counselling, candidates need to fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

  • Only candidates who have qualified in the NEET exam are eligible for the counselling process.
  • Candidates must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in their 12th standard exam (40% for reserved category candidates).
  • Candidates must have completed 17 years of age as on December 31st of the year of admission.
  • There is no upper age limit for NEET counselling.
  • Candidates must be Indian citizens or Overseas Citizens of India (OCI).
